Andy Murray is through to his second Wimbledon final after beating Jerzy Janowicz in four sets. Murray will play world number one Novak Djokovic on Sunday after the Serbian came through an entertaining five-set thriller against Juan Martin del Potro.
Speaking after a packed Centre Court crowd gave him a standing ovation, he said: “I’m obviously delighted with that. Very tough match today, completely different to any of the matches I’ve played so far.
“He’s a very talented player, very unpredictable. He had some huge serves out there and gave me very little rhythm. It was very hard out there today. I’m glad to get it done.”
1936 was the last time a British male won the tournament at Wimbledon, so hopefully Murray can go all the way this time and end the long wait.
