WHAT NEXT?
Firstly, everyone’s life is different, very different in fact. We may go through similar encounters but your emotions or thoughts are not the same as everyone else’s. Melanie’s purpose in life isn’t the same as Rochelle’s (made up names, I’m not talking about someone you may know). You may have just reached a cross road in your life where you’re wondering what life has in store for you, who’s going to be by your side in a few years’ time and whether or not it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Life is full of surprises and ups and downs, don’t expect too much or too little. Something I would strongly suggest is to always be prepared. Plan A didn’t work out? Jump straight to plan B.
I decided to write this article saying the little I know to inspire or help someone else, so if this is some help to you, I’ve accomplished something. For some, you may be at a new college, doing something new, moving unto university or something different. Here’s just a few things I would like to share.
Know what you want.
Yes some of you make all the choices in your life or have some sort of guidance someone else may give you about what to do and how to do it but the most important thing is knowing what YOU yourself want. From watching other people’s experiences and trials I know it’s best to live for yourself, it’s easier said than done if you ask me. When people say ‘I’m still young, I’m in no rush to get things done or think about what I want in the future’ it grinds my gears, what makes you think you’ll be young forever? Think about the future now because time waits for no man. If you waste time, time will waste you. You can’t rewind tomorrow and relive it to sort out a few mistakes you’ve made here and there. One of the biggest mistakes a person can make is thinking there’s enough time for them to do everything. Get thinking, planning and scheming now!! (Not illegal scheming) plan for the future and work towards the things you have power over. INVEST IN YOUR DREAM; GRIND NOW; SHINE LATER. Nobody wants to be cleaning streets (not that there’s anything wrong with street cleaners) or washing toilets, most of all you don’t want to be working in the market selling 2 for £5 yam or begging people to come and buy meat from the butchers you managed to squeeze a job out of. Which one of you really wants to be walking into the job centre every single week without fail signing on for jobs? Use the facilities there are now to your ultimate advantage because they really won’t be here forever.
