Here at ADS we aim to support and motivate the youth, so we took a trip to Dartford FC to watch Dartford Whites against Oxford United and Dartford Reds against Bromley. We were there to show our moral support to a few friends who play for the club (Abdul Bangura, Femi Akinwande and Abeo Sarpei).
The first gamer we watched was Dartford Reds take on Bromley. The game started off with Dartford pressing high which caused Bromley problems, 20 minutes into the game Abdul Bangura scored a header from close range from a free kick. Minutes later his second goal came, after a forced mistake from the defender and Abdul nicked the ball and drove past him leaving him one on one with the goal and calmly took the ball round him to finish with his left foot. Abeo was the heart of the midfield, he was dictating the game and made a couple powerful runs with the ball, which lead Dartford to scoring their 4th goal.
Later on, we watched Dartford Whites take on league 2 club Oxford United. The game started off slow with Oxford putting pressure on the whites, but after conceding a corner the Whites got them selves a lucky goal after an error from the keeper. The second half was a much more fast paced game, after Oxford Midfielder Jermaine curled the ball bottom right to change the game completely. That’s when Dartford switched on and started pressuring much higher up the pitch. Femi Akinwande game the defenders a nightmare, as he was all other the place which lead the other strikers to have some space which lead them to score 2 goals, ending the game 3-1.
One thing I noticed while at the club, all the boys there had passion for the game and you could see their heart was fully in it!
